The CR-V comes with two powertrains. Both seat five, and all-wheel drive is available on every trim.
A 190-horsepower turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder with a CVT. The gas CR-V is EPA-estimated at 30 mpg combined with front-wheel drive and 29 mpg with all-wheel drive, and it has the lowest starting price in the CR-V lineup.
A 204-horsepower two-motor hybrid with a 2.0-liter engine. The CR-V Hybrid is EPA-estimated at up to 40 mpg combined, which adds up if you commute on I-5 between Grants Pass and Medford.
The off-road-styled CR-V. All-wheel drive is standard, and it uses the same 204-horsepower hybrid powertrain. Look at this trim if you drive gravel and forest roads to trailheads and river access.

If you drive Southern Oregon roads year-round, all-wheel drive is worth a look. The CR-V’s Real Time AWD sends power to the rear wheels when the front wheels start to slip, which helps on wet I-5 grades, winter trips over the Siskiyou Summit and US-199 to the coast. AWD helps you get moving, but it doesn’t replace chains when ODOT requires them, so check TripCheck before a winter drive.
Grants Pass sits on I-5 about 30 miles northwest of Medford, and US-199 connects us to Cave Junction and Crescent City. All-wheel drive is available on every CR-V trim. The LX, EX, EX-L, Sport Hybrid and Sport-L Hybrid come with front-wheel drive and offer AWD as an option. The TrailSport Hybrid and Sport Touring Hybrid come with AWD as standard.
